In this context, we are looking for an Application Engineer for our EMEA team.

Job description

As an application engineer, you will be in daily contact with the customers in EMEA for pre-sales and post-sales activities to support customers’ deployments based on VisualOn’s solution.

You will be the key interface for projects between our customers, our partners, the sales team and the customer support team.

The Application Engineer is expected to respond to technical issues and questions reported by our customers and/or their development partners as soon as possible.

Pre-sales :

  • qualifying customers’ needs
  • working with R&D to check the adequacy of the SDK to the needs
  • on site and remote communication with the customers to highlight VisualOn’s offer

Post-sales :

  • testing and delivering the SDKs to the customers
  • helping customers with the SDK integration (implementation guidance, best practices)
  • answering customers questions and issues, with daily interaction with the R&D team
  • on-site support as necessary

You will also be involved in the major tradeshows in EMEA (IBC, TV Connect, …) to demo our offer.

After your initial training cursus, you will quickly be involved in field support as a full member of the team. Our key words are dedication and reactivity, for our customers’ best satisfaction.

Required skills

General:

Proficient in English, both orally and written, Additional language(s) a plus.

Experience in international, multi-location virtualized environment.

Flexibility in working hours and travels (including last-minute on-site travel in case of necessity).

Well-organized problem-solving capability and communication skills.

Proactive, creative and a team player.

Technical:

Degree in CS, EE, Physics or Mathematics

Java, Java Script, C/C++ programming ability.

Application engineering experience.

Familiar with video streaming frameworks and DRM integration.

Familiar with Embedded system development.

Familiar with Android, iOS, Windows, MacOS Operating Systems

Software debugging capability and troubleshooting experience

Experience in the following areas is a plus:

  • DRM
  • Streaming Protocols
  • Video/Audio Codecs
  • DVB, MPEG Standards

Dev in Java / Android Studio; Objective C and C / XCode ; Javascript

Set Top Box application design and dev is a plus.
